Incident Summary – Day Shift, Saturday 8th June

To ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

Williamson Close, Ripon – 09:37

Ripon crews responded to reports of 1 person stuck in a lift. No persons were trapped on arrival of Fire Service and no action was taken.

Raines Lane, Grassington – 10:31

Crews from Grassington responded to a conifer tree on fire near to residential properties. Crews extinguished the fire using a domestic hose.

North End, Bedale – 12:00

Crew from Bedale responded to a male fallen outside a commercial property. Crew provided first aid, O2 therapy and monitored the male until arrival of Ambulance. The male was then transported to hospital via road ambulance for precautionary checks.

Stainton Road, Seamer – 13:04

Northallerton crews responded to conifers and tree cutting on fire, measuring approximately 3 x 5 metres. Crews extinguished the fire using 1 hose reel jet.

Prospect Road, Scarborough – 13:46

Crews from Scarborough responded to reports of a dog hanging from a first floor window. On arrival the dog was safely inside the property and crews used a reach pole to close the window.

St Nicholas Cliff, Scarborough – 16:30

Crews from Scarborough responded to 8 people trapped in a lift at a residential property. Crews isolated power and released all occupants unharmed using lift keys.

Quarry Mount, Scarborough – 16:33

Scarborough crews attended a fire in the open of a wooded area, measuring approximately 5 x 5 metres. Crews used 1 hose reel jet to extinguish.

 

Crews from Harrogate and Acomb also responded to automatic fire alarm activations during the day, these were false alarms.
