11:19 Swan Road, Harrogate

Harrogate crews responded to assist one person stuck in a lift. On arrival the person had just been released. Crews used small tools to dismantle the lift.

11:30 Ellerbeck to Jeater Houses A19

Northallerton crews responded to reports of a car on fire. On arrival crews confirmed the vehicle was not on fire, smoke issued due to an overflow in engine.

12:17 Harrogate

Harrogate crews attended a domestic property to investigate fire safety concerns for elderly resident. Crews confirmed no fire at property, fit smoke alarms and have scheduled a home fire risk safety visit.

14:14 Northallerton

Northallerton crews were requested to assist Ambulance crew with a member of the public. However on arrival Police and Ambulance had dealt with the incident and Fire Service was not required.

15:17 Selby

Selby, York and Snaith appliances attended a fire in a storage mill. Fire had started inside an industrial compressor. Crews isolated the electricity and extinguished the fire using breathing apparatus and a hose reel.

16:42 Clifton Moor, York

Acomb and Easingwold crews attended a commercial property due to reports of a fire in a microwave. On arrival crew confirmed a small fire had occurred in the microwave but was out on arrival. Crews gave advice to staff.

In addition Automatic Fire alarms activated in Thirsk and Acomb. Crews attended and investigated. Both confirmed as false alarms.
