The death of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II

 

We are deeply saddened to learn that Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II has died.

On hearing of Her Majesty’s passing, Chief Fire Officer, Jonathan Dyson said: “It is with great sadness that we have heard of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II today. On behalf of North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue I send our deepest condolences to The Royal Family at this very sad time.

“Her Majesty has been a beacon of light during her long reign of 70 years, particularly during times of uncertainty.

“Flags at North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service premises will now be flown at half-mast to mark the national period of mourning.

“Her Majesty’s death may affect many people across North Yorkshire and we urge anyone who is feeling particularly saddened to seek support from one of the many agencies who can provide a listening ear or advice.”
