Incident Summary Day Shift Thursday 20th September 2018

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred

0743hrs – Lady Ediths Drive, Scarborough

 

Scarborough crews were called to a report of a fire in woodland. Upon arrival crews found a fire smouldering from a previous fire. Crews used back pack sprayers and a hose reel jet to completely dampen down the area.

 

0911hrs – Haxby, York

 

Huntington crews responded to a report of a member of the community who had become locked in their bathroom. Crews attended and gained access to the house and freed the person from the bathroom using hand tools.

 

1002hrs – A170/B1257, Malton

 

Kirkbymoorside crews were called to reports of a fire in the open. Upon arrival crews found the fire was controlled burning. No further action was taken.

 

1450hrs – South End, Osmotherley

 

Northallerton crews were called to reported fire in the open. Upon arrival crews found the fire to be controlled burning.

 

1526hrs – Ruston, Scarborough

 

Scarborough crews were requested to attend an incident by the RSPCA. A pig was reported as having become stuck in metal railings. Upon arrival, crews assisted with the safe release of the animal using hydraulic cutting gear.
