Incident Summary Friday 8th February Day & Night Shift

 

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up we will no longer be providing street names for smaller towns and villages where incidents have occurred.

 

Time 0732    Location: Near Filey Road, Scarborough

 

 

 

A crew from Scarborough assisted an ambulance crew to gain entry to a property. Crews used a door-breaker and left the incident with paramedics.

 

 

 

Time 1151    Location: Near Northway, Scarborough

 

 

 

Crews from Scarborough and Filey removed a tumble dryer that had been on fire in a terraced property. The fire was out on arrival of crews, they removed it, inspected the scene and gave advice to the occupants.

 

 

 

Time 1525    Location: Ripon Road, Harrogate

 

 

 

Harrogate crew attended a car reported as smoking. A small electrical fire had taken place in the engine compartment. Inspection and advice to owner only.

 

 

 

Time 1555    Location: Boroughbridge Road, Northallerton

 

 

 

Responding to an automatic fire alarm sounding in a residential premises, a Northallerton crew found a small fire to food left unattended on a baking tray. Crews ventilated the property and gave advice to the occupants.

 

 

 

Time 1744    Location: Hillam, Selby

 

 

 

Reports of a large fire in a field was found to be controlled burning. Selby crew investigated.

 

 

 

Time 2058    Location: Low Whita, Near Reeth

 

 

 

The Reeth crew recovered a car after it became stuck on a moorland track with the occupants lost. The crew manoeuvred the car back onto a ‘B’ road and ensured the car drove away safely.

 

 

 

Time 2250    Location: Near Foxwood Lane, York

 

 

 

Acomb crew attended reports of youths setting a fire to a bush on a residential street. Fire was out on arrival, inspection only.

 

 

 

Time 0347    Location: Bell Busk

 

 

 

Crews were mobilised to a report of a fire in a premises. This was a false alarm due to a tree fallen onto power lines.

 

 

 

Time 0519    Location: York

 

 

 

Crews assisted Police in removing a large fallen tree from the A64. Crews used vehicle winch.

 

 

 

 

In addition to the above incidents our crews attended automatic fire alarm activations in Huntington (x2), Richmond (x3), Stokesley, Settle (x1) and York (x2).  All were false alarms.
