Incident Summary Day Shift Wednesday 13th March 2019

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

Time of call: 07:51 Skipton

A crew from Skipton assisted in removing an unsafe roof tile from a building. 13.5 metre ladder used for access.

Time of call: 09:45 Whitley, Selby

Selby crew, along with the aeriel ladder platform from Huntington, assisted in the make safe of an aluminium sheet which had become loose on the roof of a property and was hanging in a dangerous position over a road. Crews removed the metal sheeting and brought it down to be left in a safe place.

Time of call: 09:58 Scarborough

Scarborough crew assisted Police to gain entry to a property.

Time of call: 10:09 Nether Poppleton area, York

Acomb crew attended following a report of a car fire. The fire was out on arrival of the crew and had been extinguished by a member of the public using a dry powder extinguisher. Minor damage to engine compartment.

Time of call: 16:59 York

Acomb and York crews have been sent to a property in york following a report of a possible fire. Further details to follow. This was burning within a plug socket. Crews isloated the power and gave advice. 

We also attended automatic fire alarm activations in York and Harrogate. These were all false alarms.
